Starlink Mobile Peru now enables app-based voice, video, and messaging services with Entel in remote areas where traditional mobile towers cannot reach, significantly improving nationwide connectivity.

Starlink Mobile Costa Rica will soon launch with Liberty Latin America, bringing satellite-powered messaging and app data services to remote areas across the country, including mountains, national parks, and coastal regions.

SoftBank Starlink Direct has officially launched in Japan, enabling SoftBank customers to access Starlink Mobile satellite-to-phone services without extra fees. The new service brings voice, video, app calling, and messaging connectivity to remote and underserved areas across Japan.

Starlink and Airtel Africa have entered a major partnership to launch Starlink Direct-to-Cell satellite-to-mobile services across all 14 Airtel African markets, connecting over 170 million people starting in 2026. The service will begin with data that supports voice, video and messaging, and evolve to high-speed broadband with up to 20 times faster data speeds on compatible smartphones, helping bridge the digital divide in remote and underserved areas.

Rogers Communications and Starlink have launched “Rogers Satellite,” a full satellite-to-mobile service in Canada. As of December 2025, users in remote or coverage-dead zones can connect with their regular smartphones to access data, voice, video, and popular apps — including WhatsApp, Google Maps, and more. The service dramatically expands Canada’s wireless coverage and enables connectivity in wilderness, coastal, rural and remote areas where cell towers don’t reach.
