Starlink has reached 9 million active customers worldwide, providing high-speed satellite internet in 155 countries, territories and other markets. The milestone highlights Starlink’s rapid global expansion and its growing role in bringing broadband access to remote and underserved areas across the globe.

Air France is rolling out Starlink-powered high-speed Wi-Fi across its aircraft, starting with 30 percent of the fleet by the end of 2025 and aiming for full coverage by the end of 2026. The service — free for passengers and accessible via Flying Blue account login — will allow high-quality internet activities at cruising altitude, including streaming, work, video calls, and online gameplay.

Starlink has partnered with The Bahamas’ Ministry of Education to deliver high-speed satellite internet to schools across the island nation, beginning with installations at schools like C. H. Reeves Junior High. This initiative provides dependable broadband for online learning, supports modern educational tools such as coding and robotics, and helps bridge the connectivity gap for students in remote or underserved areas.

Starlink and Airtel Africa have entered a major partnership to launch Starlink Direct-to-Cell satellite-to-mobile services across all 14 Airtel African markets, connecting over 170 million people starting in 2026. The service will begin with data that supports voice, video and messaging, and evolve to high-speed broadband with up to 20 times faster data speeds on compatible smartphones, helping bridge the digital divide in remote and underserved areas.

SpaceX celebrated a milestone in 2025 when a Falcon 9 rocket conducted its 100th launch from Florida — a Starlink mission that lifted 29 broadband satellites into orbit from Cape Canaveral. The landmark underscores the rapid cadence of launches from the Space Coast this year and highlights how routine, high-frequency access to space has become for modern launch providers.
