Starlink remote connectivity has officially launched in Bolivia after the government lifted restrictions that previously blocked international satellite providers. This milestone brings high-speed, low-latency internet to remote and underserved regions across the country, enabling widespread access to streaming, education, telehealth, and business services. The rollout reflects a major step toward reducing Bolivia’s digital divide and integrating it into the global broadband ecosystem.

Starlink’s remote connectivity has connected more than 1 million people in Brazil with reliable high-speed internet, especially in rural and underserved areas where traditional infrastructure is limited. This satellite broadband access supports education, telehealth, business growth, and emergency communication, showcasing satellite internet’s role in bridging connectivity gaps across the vast Brazilian territory.

Starlink remote connectivity delivers reliable high-speed internet to even the most isolated parts of the world by leveraging a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites. Its expanding global footprint — spanning remote communities in the Arctic, rural villages, and isolated islands — supports education, telemedicine, disaster response, and economic growth. Starlink’s partnership with Globe Telecom has enabled Starlink Direct to Cell adoption in the Philippines, making it the first country in Southeast Asia to bring direct satellite‑to‑mobile connectivity to underserved and remote communities through standard LTE phones. The service, expected to be commercially available in 2026, will extend mobile data, voice, and messaging into areas difficult for terrestrial networks to serve, supporting digital inclusion, disaster resilience, and economic participation.
